Bayfield is an approved employer of the Child and Youth Worker Apprenticeship Program through the Ontario College of Trades. This apprenticeship allows Bayfield employees to earn their Child and Youth Worker Apprenticeship Certificate by completing 30 courses (totaling 960 hours) and 6240 on-the-job hours. Courses may be taken in person or online, though the online courses may allow for the process to be completed at a faster rate. Each subsidized course will cost between $50 and $100, for a total program cost of $1500 to $3000. After earning the CYW Apprenticeship Certificate, the employee may continue their education by completing 4 additional courses (at full price) and earn their Child and Youth Worker Diploma.

You may register to complete the Child and Youth Worker Apprenticeship Program at Bayfield by completing and submitting the Employment Application found on this web page. Bayfield's Human Resources Coordinator will contact you for an employment interview and, if hired, you will be assisted in registering for the apprenticeship program. Once your registration has been approved, you will need to become a member of the Ontario College of Trades.
